Following the introduction of the new Class 777 trains onto the Merseyrail network, temporary timetable changes are being made to the Hunts Cross and Southport lines to assist with driver training.

From Monday to Saturday some services will be cancelled, these are as follows:

Hunts Cross to Southport: there will be four trains cancelled (11:36, 14:06, 19:51 and 22:21).

Southport to Hunts Cross: there will be four trains cancelled (10:27, 12:57, 18:42 and 21:12).

Southport to Hunts Cross: Monday to Thursday the 22:27 will depart at 22:20 from Southport but will resume normal departure times from Birkdale.
There are no cancellations on Sundays.

Previous services that have been cancelled due to driver training will be reinstated, these are as follows:

Monday to Friday

Southport to Hunts Cross (12:42, 17:27, 19:57, 22:27).
Hunts Cross to Southport (13:51, 18:36).
Liverpool South Parkway to Southport (21:07).

Saturday

Southport to Hunts Cross (12:42, 13:42, 17:27, 18:12).
Hunts Cross to Southport (13:51, 14:51, 18:36, 19:21).
